A big part of our mission at Peanuts is to create community and nourish families. To support this goal, we partner with local experts to offer a variety of low-cost weekly classes and monthly special events. Grow your community! Join Us in the Peanut Gallery

Peanuts has a special workshop space that we affectionately call the Peanut Gallery. Join us for a weekly Putnee Music class or a Preschool Ballet Series. Let your creative juices flow with a seasonal art class jointly offered with the Santa Barbara Museum of Art or a ceramic handprint workshop. Grow with a community parenting class.

Weaning Workshop

Learn the ins and outs of weaning your baby. Join Sandra Jansen an Internationally Board certified Lactation consultant and RN for a comprehensive weaning workshop and interactive Q&A. Discover the ways to create a smooth transition into this new phase!

March Peanuts Picassos Painting Workshop (5-10 years)

Saturday or Sunday, March 14th or 15th, 1-2pm

Local artist, Heather Stern, will introduce your child to the joys of painting. Each month, she will feature a new Master Artist and help your mini Picasso develop a personal interpretation of that artistic genre. Cost includes all materials. (canvases, paints, etc.) Max 8 students / class. Dates for other months will be posted soon. Photo features real students!

Sunday, April 26th

Resident ceramic artist at Peabody Charter School, Nancy Pinner, will aid in the process of imprinting your child's hand or footprint into clay, decorating and firing it! They make a wonderful keepsake or treasured gift and her work is absolutely stunning.

Weekly Classes

April Spring Preschool Ballet Weekly Series (3-6 years)

6 Thursdays, 10:30-11:15am (April 16th - May 21st)

Join Erin Clark from Santa Barbara Festival Ballet at Peanuts as she weaves storytelling, imagination and movement together. Boys and girls are introduced to ballet manners, music and basic steps using cherished nursery rhymes and original ballet songs. Class is limited to 12 children.

Putnee Music (0-4 years)

Every Wednesday & Friday, 10:30-11am

Beloved community musician, Putnam Lee aka Putnee, offers weekly childrens' music classes at Peanuts. In this interactive class, Putnee plays guitar and harmonica while children listen, sing, dance and enact songs, some oldies but goodies and others Putnee originals. Children from babies to toddlers join in on the fun! It’s great for siblings and groups of friends.

$9 / class, $40 for 5 classes, or $70 for 10 classes

Packets do not expire nor have to be used consecutively. Drop-ins Welcome!
